BEHIND THE BRUSH

I am a makeup artist in the bay area of California, and my work has been published in many places. In addition to makeup, I've also done styling and hairstyling for much of the work in my portfolio. I've always had a love and a fascination with the fashion industry, but I haven't always been a part of it. As a quiet, short, slightly overweight adolecent, I felt completely invisible to those around me. As I grew older and began to wear makeup, I noticed I was less invisible.. and I began to gain confidence and self esteem. I sat in front of the mirror every day playing with new styles, and I did makeup for my friends on special occasions and whenever they would let me. One day I realized I could make a career of my passion, and the rest is history.

The passion I have for cosmetics does not come from a  place of vanity, or shallow values. My personal mission is to teach those who look at a photo of a model and feel bad about themselves, that they are just as gorgeous. Models don't wake up looking like a magazine cover either... And if all it takes to change how a person feels about themselves is a little makeup, I've got a little makeup for them.
